Section 151
Insurance Development Fund
(1) The Authority shall have an Insurance Development Fund to protect the interests of citizens through insurance by extending access to insurance to economically disadvantaged citizens.
(2) The fund under sub-section (1) shall have the following amounts:
(a) Amounts received from Government of Nepal,
(b) an amount that is fifty percent of the micro insurance regulation fee received from the insurer to the authority according to section 79 and an amount that is at least thirty three percent of the regulation fee received from the insurer to the authority according to section 100, and
(c) Funds received from other sources.
(3) The authority shall deposit the amount as per clause (b) of sub-section (2) in the fund as per sub-section (1) every year.
(4) The amount of the fund under sub-section (1) shall be used as prescribed in the designated area.
(5) Other provisions related to the operation and management of the fund under sub-section (1) shall be as prescribed.
